The purpose of Collective Avenue Coffee is to run our business as a Worker-Owned Cooperative. This ensures that we follow the 7 principles of a cooperative that include open membership, concern for community, democratic voting system. All the workers are owners of the company, therefore influencing better performance and puts the worker first.

Purchasing Policy:
We pride ourselves in only using locally roasted single origin coffee. All our roasters are from within 10 miles of our cafe to reduce our carbon footprint in shipping. Large majority of our roasters are minority owned businesses.

100% of our pastry sources are minority owned businesses from within 10 miles of our cafe.

100% of our interns are from within the Southeast LA area, where we provide local college and high school students the opportunity to learn about business management, coffee, and the worker cooperative business model.

100% of our cash tips go to scholarships that will be awarded to volunteers and community minded students entering college.
